G/T 6 hour update: Strategies for ALL (Carrizo Springs)



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


In this training you can expect to learn brain-compatible learning strategies, concept and vocabulary-development strategies, three ways to analyze content, and evaluation activities.  By implementing the skills and strategies learned in this session, your teaching can improve by increasing rigor and depth of knowledge and learning for students.  Student achievement will be impacted by increased knowledge about content and transferability of knowledge to other content     areas.  The scientific-based research used in this session is brain-compatible strategies to increase   learning and retention of content. NOTE: This session can count for a G/T Day 3, 4, Day 5 or 6-Hour   Update if not previously taken.

The session will take place in the Carrizo CISD Admin Building.
