Career & Technology Education (CTE)
CANCELLED Online Meets Brick & Mortar, the Blended Classroom



CTE instruction aims at developing foundational skills, core workplace competencies, and specific skill competencies in various occupational areas. Internships, practicums, cooperative education, school-based enterprises, dual enrollment programs, and apprenticeships are a few venues that deliver CTE by providing meaningful opportunities for leaners to apply their academic and technical skills. We serve the career and education community through targeted support for CTE compliance, program development and implementation with rigor and relevancy; bridging with postsecondary education and industry partners to build a global workforce, quality education programs and 21st century learners.
 


Important Session Information:


Having access to sharing content online and in our classrooms provides an opportunity to utilize blended learning strategies. Blended learning is where lesson delivery is presented: in part using an online platform and part in the regular classroom. Learn how blended models help increase student engagement and promote personalized learning.

At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

Extend your classroom beyond the brick and mortar wall

  • Meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Make classroom content available to students who are absent

  • Transform learning environment from teacher centered to learner centered

  • Aim toward Distinguished in T-TESS ratings

Note: Participants are asked to bring a laptop with power cord to the workshop.
