Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
CACFP: Guiding Families to Support Their Child's Nutritional Learning in the Home
ESC-20, Food and Nutrition Services provide training and technical assistance to local contracting entities in the operation and administration of the Child and Adult Care Food Programs
Important Session Information:
Establishing strong communication and relationships with families can have positive and tangible effects on a child’s success. More importantly, providing families with ways in which they can engage their child in nutrition education outside of your center can create a more encompassing learning environment.
During this session you will learn what family engagement is and is not, along with practical ways you can effectively engage and empower families to support learning in the home. When done intentionally and proactively, having the support of your families can significantly increase the success of your program.
