ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to programs serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing, including assisting programs meet the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing across the continuum of placement options.

Important Session Information:


RESCHEDULED 1/14/20:

In this full-day session, you will gain basic knowledge of amplification devices including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and Hearing Assistive Technology (e.g. Frequency Modulated [FM]/Digitally Modulated [DM] systems). You will be able to identify the basic parts of these amplification devices, develop a basic understanding of how the devices work, as well as learn how to perform daily monitoring checks and basic troubleshooting strategies with these devices. This session is for campus representatives who are designated to monitor amplification devices (e.g. nurses, speech language pathologists, special education teachers, teacher’s aides, etc.)  as well as for teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing who would like to improve basic skills.
