Charting the Course is a Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and ESC-20 collaborative activity. The aim is to engage students with disabilities and their families in education and planning events to support the student’s successful transition to post-secondary education and/or employment after high school.
The Train the Trainer (TOT) Charting the Course session is designed to enable the local LEAs to train parents and students on the topics of transition, graduation and inter-agency collaboration.
Each participant will leave with a flash drive of the presentation, presenters notes, and resources to provide when training to help promote parent and student involvement in the transition process. One flash drive is available per LEA within the ESC-20 service area.
Funds are available to reimburse travel for one participant/trainer per LEA within the ESC-20 service area.
