Threat Assessment: Evaluation Personnel as Part of an Multidisciplinary Team (WEBINAR)
ESC-20 provides resources, training and technical assistance for evaluators. Quarterly contact group meetings for LSSP’s and Educational Diagnosticians are also provided.
Important Session Information:
Effective threat assessment
is typically based on the combined efforts of a threat assessment team. This session will examine the role of school-based evaluation staff as part of the multidisciplinary threat assessment team. The approach of threat assessment will be explored as a
set of
strategies or pathways
to determine the credibility and seriousness of a threat and the likelihood that it will be acted upon. By utilizing a threat assessment approach, multidisciplinary teams can apply strategies to assess non-suicidal self-injury, suicide risk, and threats made toward others.
