Building and Creating Rigor
Requirements to bring to this session: printed student work samples and printed lesson plans connected with student samples. One printed lesson of an upcoming lesson.
Teachers will be able to analyze their lesson(s), ensuring the standards are met and rigor is in place. Teachers will write an exemplar that is student centered, includes a “warm up” or “do now” that supports the exemplar, along with an exit ticket and a plan to support learning of the exemplar. Teachers will also create a monitoring pathway. The book Get Better Faster is utilized as the main reference.
