G/T 6 hour update: Social/Emotional Needs of G/T Students (South San ISD)



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


In this interactive sessions, educators will discuss ways to affect the G/T Students in their class in manners that will positively affect their Social-Emotional Needs as it pertains to academic success. Participants will leave with activities that they can bring in to their class the next day and leave with a different viewpoint on the realities of their students.

 

This class is exclusive to teachers from South San ISD.

The session will take place at Benavidez Elementary  8340 Interstate 35 Access Rd, San Antonio, TX 78224

This class can take the place of a G/T 6 hour update or a Day 4/5 if not previously taken.

Please bring charged technology to the session to interact with the course materials.
