Important Session Information:

WEBINAR:  Join us for a fun and educational workshop to discover new ways to excite your students about learning science! The Welder Wildlife Foundation’s Home on the Range Workshop and Rangelands: A Conservation Education Guide provides hands-on, active learning with outdoor activities to help K-5 educators convey the importance of rangeland conservation while establishing real world connections to science.

The TEKS aligned curriculum includes 27 science-based lessons with connections to social studies, language arts, math, and technology. Activities include investigations of habitat, adaptations, structures and functions, day and night, moon phases, plants, wildlife, and more. A variety of teaching methods are used to meet the needs of all students and include building models, journaling, role-play, science investigations, computer lessons, and hands-on inquiry. Best of all, lessons are fun to teach and fun to learn!

Our goal is to make this online training as fun, interactive, engaging and educational as possible! We will be demonstrating many activities and you will have the opportunity to actively participate from the comfort of your home.

We will utilize Zoom for this face-to-face online workshop and all resources, including the complete Rangelands: A Conservation Education Guide, will be available via Google Classroom.
