WEBINAR: Join us for a fun and educational workshop to discover new ways to excite your students about learning science! The Welder Wildlife Foundation’s Home on the Range Workshop and Rangelands: A Conservation Education Guide provides hands-on, active learning with outdoor activities to help K-5 educators convey the importance of rangeland conservation while establishing real world connections to science.
The TEKS aligned curriculum includes 27 science-based lessons with connections to social studies, language arts, math, and technology. Activities include investigations of habitat, adaptations, structures and functions, day and night, moon phases, plants, wildlife, and more. A variety of teaching methods are used to meet the needs of all students and include building models, journaling, role-play, science investigations, computer lessons, and hands-on inquiry. Best of all, lessons are fun to teach and fun to learn!
