ESC 20 provides an alternative route to teacher certification approved by the State Board of Educator Certification.

Teacher Quality

Important Session Information:

Retention of effective beginning educators is a priority for all schools, but how do districts accomplish this given the current constraints on resources, such as time, professional learning capacity, and human capital? Join local LEAs in creating a community of practice to connect around new teacher support and mentorship programs. In this first meeting, we will explore similarities and differences among districts’ implementation of programs and initiatives. We will also identify areas where we can leverage the community to enhance current programs and collaborate on future opportunities to best support beginning educators. An overview of HB3, as it relates to mentoring, will also be provided.

Who should attend: District/Campus contacts for mentor and beginning teacher support programs.
