edTPA is a performance-based, subject-specific assessment and support system to be used by ESC-20 TOPP. All teacher interns will participate in pilot assessment. Teacher interns completing a successful uploaded assessment will pass. Successful completion of edTPA is required to complete Standard Certification requirements at the end of the internship year.
Teacher interns will begin preparation for edTPA through a variety of activities to gain an understanding of the assessment:

Rubric 2 – Planning Student Needs
Rubric 5 – Planning Assessments
Teacher interns are required to complete the following prior to the session:
· Gmail account to access Google classroom. Class code: fwulaou
· Complete Pre-Assignment in Google classroom:
o Locate content area handbook. Download and save to an electronic file for your use.
o Print out only RUBRICS 1- 5 pages from edTPA content handbook you are teaching.
o Three (3) – five (5) days of lesson plans. Lesson plans of future lessons are preferred.
o Assessments used in conjunction with the intern lesson plans.
