RtI & Handwriting: Tier 1 & 2 Interventions Using a Collaborative Interdisciplinary Approach



ESC-20 assists districts and campuses in defining RtI and provides trainings which assist with an in-depth understanding of the RtI approach that lead educators to successful implementation of RtI.

Important Session Information:


This session will clarify the difference between writing and handwriting. Participants will classify interventions into Tier I and Tier 2 to address handwriting skills and identify at least 3 foundational skills need for handwriting.  Participants will distinguish components of handwriting performance and be able to select an appropriate assessment or screener
to assess handwriting skills and learn how to formulate a plan to incorporate OT into their RtI
program.
