UPDATE: This session will be provided via ZOOM due to the COVID-19 situation. It will not be offered in person.
This session has been rescheduled from April 6 to April 23, 2020.
This session is designed for special education directors who are interested in requesting a High Cost Funds award from TEA (Texas Education Agency).
High Cost Funds is an optional source of federal funds to help offset the financial impact on LEAs (local educational agencies, which includes ISDs and Open-Enrollment Charter Schools) that provide educational services to high-need children with disabilities (under IDEA-B, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B).
Morning Session Only: Participants will learn how to navigate the High Cost Funds application and gain an understanding of the general requirements for requesting a High Cost Funds award.
UPDATE: No afternoon session. Since the session is no longer being given in person, the afternoon session that was originally designed to provide participants the option of working on their own applications, with assistance, will not take place.
Webinar Session Requirements:
Participants must join using a desktop computer, laptop, or Chromebook. There are no pre-session or post-session assignments for this event.
