ESC-20 provides training and technical support related to inclusive services for students with disabilities to gain access to the general curriculum. These supports provide strategies so students with disabilities are actively involved and progress within the general curriculum and on state assessments.

Important Session Information:


During this session we will discuss the roles and responsibilities of paraprofessionals who work with students who have met special education eligibility, build a foundational knowledge base of specially designed instruction,  and practice instructional strategies/ practical ways paraprofessionals can support students in a variety of educational settings. 

This session will utilize the TEA-vetted document "Working with Paraprofessionals:  A Resource for Teachers of Students with Disabilities" and the TEKS vertical alignment document.

No prior knowledge or training is required prior to attending this session.

This session is appropriate for paraprofessionals who will be working in inclusive or specialized classrooms and teachers who work directly with paraprofessionals.
