ZOOM Session - G/T 6 hour update - Revisiting issues in Identification of Students in G/T services (Falls City ISD)

The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:

The identification of students in Gifted/Talented Services could be a challenging dilemma as we explore ways to better provide services for students. As we explore the intent of G/T services and how to analyze evidence of need, we will ultimately enhance opportunity for students. In this interactive session, we will dive into ways to nurture creative behaviors for students that may help provide evidence of need of services and ways to better advocate in the identification process.
