Important Session Information:

The process of a facilitated ARD meeting is not new, but this research-based strategy may fall flat if staff are not fully on-board with the practice. Staff attitudes are everything – they set the stage for the beginning, middle, and end of an ARD. Learn how to motivate staff members participating in ARD meetings through proactive measures such as clear expectations, mentor support, and team-building strategies. Review guidelines for professionalism and brainstorm how to positively reinforce professional, “above and beyond” behavior. Finally, review tried-and-true IEP facilitation strategies that empower teams and build up confidence in ARD preparation and participation. This is a fun, informative day intended to build up teams; strategies will be role-played and audience participation is encouraged.

Who Should Attend: campus administrators, coordinators/directors, ARD facilitators, general education and special education teachers, IEP team members
