Trauma Informed Care During COVID-19
ESC-20 provides training, technical assistance, and resources to help schools positively change student behavior and improve student achievement.
School Climate
Important Session Information:
Children with disabilities are at greater risk for traumatic experiences, which can impact their success in various aspects of development. This training will explore practical ways to implement trauma-informed care during virtual and/or remote instruction due to COVID-19. Attendees will learn about signs and symptoms of trauma, effects of trauma on development and behavior, and the effects trauma has on student achievement for the range of student needs, including children with low-incidence disabilities.
