This workshop will familiarize participants with the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development – Fourth Edition (Bayley-4). The Bayley-4 is normed for children from birth to 42 months of age. Participants will learn about the key updates to the fourth edition including the optional digital administration. Administration for items on the Cognitive, Language, and Motor scales of the Bayley-4 will be presented with an emphasis on new items and item modifications. Participants will learn about the new Caregiver Questions and changes to Item Scoring in the fourth edition. The options for administration of the Bayley-4 Adaptive and Social-Emotional areas will also be described. Lastly, participants will learn about the scores obtained and basic interpretation of the Bayley-4.
This session will be offered virtually via Zoom in two parts, occurring from 8:30-11:30 on Tuesday, 8/18/2020 and Tuesday, 9/1/2020. A Bayley-4 test kit will be provided to participants who attend both sessions and are employed by an ESC-20 district/charter school. Individuals employed outside of the ESC-20 service area and independent contractors are not eligible to receive a test kit.
