Cluster 4: Modules 8, 9 & 10.
Module 8: Social Emotional,focuses on the importance of supporting students’ social and emotional needs to improve student outcomes. Module 9: Communities,focuses on the importance of establishing and maintaining strong communication, collaboration, and partnership among schools, caregivers, and the community in order to strengthen the MTSSprocess and improve studentoutcomes. This module provides evidence-based strategies and tools on effective and practical ways to share MTSS data and decision-making with students, caregivers, and the community. The Module 10: Leadership, will be reviewed again to summarize elements necessary to implementing an effective MTSS framework. The goal of Module 10 is to help administrators condense all of the information provided across the other nine modules into a manageable plan for establishing effective MTSS programs and processes that incorporate all the necessary components.
Upon completion of Cluster 4 participants will gain greater clarity in:
- using evidence-based strategies and tools on effective and practical ways to connect and integrate Social Emotional Learning, Restorative Practices, Trauma-Informed Care, and Mental Health Services within an MTSS Framework
- developing a shared vision within MTSS and leveraging that shared vision to better collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate complex change.
- leadership organizational tools and structured systems for building an effective MTSS framework to support all students across academics, behavior, and social/emotional learning.
