Important Session Information:

Responding to Concerning Behavior and/or People in Distress - What would you do in the following situations? A person doesn’t see the point in living anymore.  A person is so angry that they don’t know what they’ll do.  A person used to be easy going and reliable and has started becoming withdrawn and unreliable.  Responding to people in distress can cause distress if you don’t know strategies for how best to handle the situation.      This interactive and practical session provides the following information:  How to identify concerning behavior, strategies for responding effectively, how to report the behavior, and the resources that may be involved in an intervention plan.

Navigating Difficult Personalities - Have you ever been around someone who has a consistently difficult personality?  There are people whose internal thoughts and feelings may result in consistent impairments in functioning.  They may consistently experience and demonstrate distorted thinking patterns, problematic emotional responses, unregulated impulse control, and relationship difficulties.  Interactions can be stressful for all involved parties. This presentation provides practical tips and strategies for interacting with someone whose personality consistently presents challenges or difficulties.  It will provides ways to prepare for difficult conversations, strategies for boundary setting, and tips for self-care.
