Webinar: HIV Today



ESC-20 School Health Program provides training and technical assistance to school districts in the comprehensive development of health programs. 
 


Important Session Information:


This session will be led by Vanessa Zuniga, Prevention Education Coordinator, and Alan Mauricio, Prevention Educator with the San Antonio AIDS Foundation.  The session will cover what HIV is like today, including a brief overview of how HIV treatment is being used as prevention. Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U). The presenters will go over Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) sharing what it is does, where can you get it, and who should be on it. The session will include a discussion of current statistics of HIV/STIs in the Bexar County/San Antonio area. Community resources will also be provided where teenagers and young adults can get tested and treated.
