Progress monitoring is a scientifically-based practice that
is used to assess students’ performance and evaluate the effectiveness of
instruction and interventions. As we monitor progress of our students,
collecting and connecting behavior data is essential for data-based decision
making, to ensure behavior interventions being implemented are effective. We
will discuss the importance of choosing the most appropriate parameter of
measurement, data collection strategy, analyzing data trends and the use
of data analysis to design and evaluate effective interventions. This
workshop is designed to benefit all students with behavioral challenges,
whether they receive special education services or are identified through
Response to Intervention (RtI).
