Asynchronous Course: This course utilizes best practices to support the implementation of procedural texts across the five pillars of reading. Participants will receive access to digital resources including the following: interactive read aloud, mini lessons, station activities, and assessment. This course is vertically aligned to support students in Kindergarten to 5th grade. All featured curriculum utilizes the mentor text, How to Read a Book by Kwame Alexander.
This course is an extension of the Literacy League of Region 20 monthly teacher subscription boxes.
This course is self-paced. You can enroll at any time within the enrollment window (11/06/20 – 08/31/23). You will have until August 31, 2023 to complete the course.
