This session will present the following tools:
Design to Learn Inventory – This inventory may be used to track opportunities to learn communication and object interaction skills that may be provided within a classroom.
Tangible Symbol Systems- This system is for those that are not able to demonstrate understanding of the meaning of abstract symbols. This manual shows how to teach individuals to communicate using tangible symbols such as objects or pictures. Instructional strategies are presented that can be used with a broad range of learners.
