Important Session Information:

Review of the requirements for an Intensive Program of Instruction (IPI) / Accelerated Instruction Program (AIP) for students who receive Special Education Services. How to develop, document and implement these required plans. Year after year, this requirement is one of the most cited areas of non-compliance. This session is designed to assist in documenting the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meeting/paperwork properly so that it is individualized for the student, making sure that administrators know when a brief ARD is acceptable and when a full ARD meeting should be held. These areas will be discussed as well as what non-compliance in this area would require in terms of intervention activities.
