Early Childhood
Promoting Positive Classroom Management

Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) provides assistance to districts in the successful development and implementation of a school readiness integration model of coordinated funding that brings school districts, Head Start programs and child care providers together in a mixed delivery model.  ESC-20 also provides leadership to ensure the effective regional implementation of appropriate instructional strategies in early childhood settings through technical assistance and professional development in the areas of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum and supports parents with Pre-Kindergarten information and eligibility criteria.

Important Session Information:

Young children have a tendency to figure out what pushes our buttons, what if we didn’t have any to push? We as adults have more power over changing how we react to situations  than changing children’s words and actions.  Participants will discuss where the majority of classroom challenges begin.  Participants will walk away with proactive strategies to increase positive interactions in  the classroom.  Relative reflection, hands-on adult learning and humor make this a ‘don’t miss it’ session!
