WEBINAR Speech-Language Pathology and Transition: Considering Communication Skills beyond High School



ESC-20 provides training, technical support, resources and information about speech therapy for students who have communication disorders.

Important Session Information:


This session will explore the Texas transition process through the speech-language pathology lens.  Following a description of the process, participants will interact with case studies for students with primary and secondary disabilities of speech impairment.  Teams of SLPs and Transition Designees are encouraged to attend together.


Learning Objectives:


  1. Describe the transition process
  2. Explain the impact of the transition process on student long term success
  3. Demonstrate the relationship between speech IEP Goals and postsecondary goals
