In this one-hour long virtual session we will examine how a classroom culture of inclusion is established. Inclusive practices secure opportunities for students with disabilities to learn alongside their non-disabled peers through strategic planning and supports.
Participants will,
- Develop a personal philosophy of inclusion
- Identify what are and what are not inclusive practices
- Analyze the role inclusive practices have on providing specialized instruction for students who are receiving special education supports
- Discover the spectrum of inclusive models
This session is appropriate for special education teachers, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and anyone else interested in building inclusive educational environments
