Assistive Technology
Project Core: AAC in the Low Incidence Disabilities Classroom (3 day series)



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for all areas of Assistive Technology. An assistive technology lab is available for previewing assistive technology equipment and/or checking out devices for evaluation purposes.
 


Important Session Information:


This session is designed for teachers of students with complex communication needs (non-verbal) who need augmented and alternative communication (AAC) support. 

Through this series, participants will use modules created by leading researchers in the field as well as in-person experiences at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) to develop or refine their skills with implementing AAC systems in their classrooms.

This program has been submitted for approval of 15 clock hours of continuing education credit by the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (TSHA). TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
