Low Incidence Disabilities
Developing Structured Work Tasks Activities to Support Student IEPs and Promote Independence

ESC-20 provides training, technical assistance, and resources that support programs serving students with low incidence disabilities (severe and profound cognitive disabilities, medically fragile, deaf/blind).

Important Session Information:

This session will go over the characteristics of a well designed "box job". These activities are created based on student's IEPs, TEKS, or any other task that is important to student learning and advancing at their own pace. Activities are created based on student's interests, level of support and academic/social/self-help/vocational need. The morning will be spent learning various techniques to set up structured work tasks for your students. In the afternoon, you will take time to begin preparing tasks for your students. Come, learn, create, and take home.
