Parent Training: Love & Logic Special Needs

ESC-20 provides resources and training opportunities for parents and famillies of students served within federal programs, including Title I, Title III, and Special Education.

Family/Community Engagement

Important Session Information:

Participants will learn a process for understanding the unique needs and competencies of each child; how to avoid becoming overwhelmed by a child's multiple, severe disabilities; how to maintain healthy "can do" expectation;, tips for teaching essential life skills; skills for developing and maintaining a cooperative parent-school team; and strategies for reaching discouraged and resistant learners! This curriculum is designed to be a follow-up/bonus program for those that have already attended a Love and Logic class.

It is not required, but recommended that you attend if you already have an understanding of the Love and Logic techniques.

The session is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. Please note that the ESC-20 café is closed. It is recommended that you bring a lunch or you can leave to go pick up lunch, during the one-hour lunch break.
