WEBINAR: Educated Citizenry: A Requisite for an Equal and Fair Society - 4th Grade



ESC-20 provides professional development and technical assistance to support educators with implementation of the Social Studies TEKS, analyze data to enhance instructional practices to meet the needs of students, and provides targeted support to reach campus and district goals.

Important Session Information:


This session will focus on Gloria Ladson-Billings’ Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. CRP is a pedagogical practice that encourages educators to facilitate

settings where students can be academically successful while developing a critical consciousness and retaining and building their cultural identity. Also, the session will demonstrate how to apply CRP to instruction and how to integrate ethnic studies, specifically, Mexican American studies, into elementary and secondary instruction.
