Important Session Information:

HB3906 has put a cap on multiple-choice items on STAAR which means students will have to write a short constructed response at the very minimum. AP high school teachers provide their students with plenty of writing practice however, we know the rest of us need some practice of our own so we can incorporate writing into our classroom.  This session will look at text structures that support non-fiction and expository writing and how to incorporate them into writing in social studies. We’ll strengthen FRQs and other writing we currently incorporate with Targeted Writing Skills.   Let’s not pass this off to our ELAR colleagues, this is important to our students’ success in social studies.
