Webinar: MEP Capacity Building Initiative: Empowering Migratory Parents



The Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program (MEP) supports migratory student success in school and successful transition to post-secondary education or employment. The ESC-20 MEP provides various levels of support to local education agencies (LEA).
 


Important Session Information:


This session is for MEP staff who are responsible for working with migratory parents, especially through the MEP Parent Advisory Council (PAC). Participants will develop a shared definition of parental engagement that is inclusive and culturally responsive to migratory families and learn strategies and resources to share with parents to empower them during this “new normal” with at-home learning. 

Note: This session will take place in the form of a webinar. Participants must have a desktop, laptop or Chromebook in order to participate, along with an adequate internet connection. Active participation of various forms will be required during the session in order to obtain course credit.
