Grants Administration
ZOOM: Equipment and Inventory Management Federal Requirements (for ISDs and Charter Schools)

Fiscal and Programmatic topics related to the administration of grants

Important Session Information:

This session is being held via ZOOM only and is limited to Region 20 LEAs.

All LEAs (local educational agencies, which includes ISDs and Open-Enrollment Charter Schools) must comply with the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR), which are cross-cutting grant management requirements applicable to the administration of all federal education grants. Uniform Guidance 2 CFR Part 200 (a.k.a. UGG) is part of EDGAR.

One of the fiscal administrative requirements pertains to the management of equipment purchased with federal funds. Due to the large amount of federal disaster funds being received by LEAs, such as ESSER I, ESSER II, and ESSER III, and the potential for a large amount of expenditures for equipment, it is even more imperative that LEAs understand and comply with the federal regulations.

This session is applicable to program administrators and fiscal staff responsible for the administration of federal education grants, including ESSER, ESSA, IDEA-B, Perkins, etc.

The presentation is given by an attorney from the prestigious Washington, D.C. law firm Brustein and Manasevit, PLLC. This is a great opportunity to learn the most up-to-date information by a nationally recognized authority on federal education grants management.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will gain an understanding of the grant administrative regulations for the management of equipment purchased with federal education funds.

There are no pre-session or post-session assignments for this event.

This session will take place in the form of a webinar. Participants must have a desktop computer, laptop, or Chromebook in order to participate, along with adequate internet connection. (If joining via a tablet, please ensure the latest version of the ZOOM app is installed.)
