Participants will learn about why it is beneficial for students to have cross curricular connections. In this course we will look at the reasons for and ways you can incorporate Social Studies themes and standards into ELAR genres to build connections for students and deepen their learning. We will make connections across genres and TEKS.
Participants will discuss and reflect on ways they currently teach genres, inferencing, and connections. We will create samples and lessons you can take back to your class with you to help raise your students' level of learning.
