This presentation will provide school-based OT and PT practitioners with information on professional competencies, current published evidence and recent federal and state policy changes impacting their service to students. Lessons learned from OT and PT service delivery during the pandemic will be reviewed.
At the conclusion of this course, OT and PT practitioner attendees will be able to
1) articulate 2 OT and PT professional intervention competencies (relevant to their respective fields) appropriate to their services in schools;
2) identify 2 recent federal and/or state policy changes or case law impacting OT and PT service delivery in schools; and
3) describe 2 evidence-based practices for supporting students with disabilities at school according to studies published in the professional literature within the last 2 years.
