Survivor Sensitivity - Rape Crisis Center



Professional development for counselors is aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Standards and Competencies and with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Comprehensive, Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program Standards (Pre-K - Grade 12). Topics will be addressed to assist school counselors in developing the four components in their school counseling program: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning and System Support.

The Rape Crisis Center will be presenting the following session Titled: Survivor Sensitivity

Best practices for working with survivors of sexual assault and responding to outcries. Explores specific populations that are at higher risk for sexual assault and the barriers they face when reporting and seeking help.
