VIRTUAL SESSION - Signs and Symptoms in Teens with Substance Use



Professional development for school counselors is aligned with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and supports work in the four service delivery components: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support.


 


Important Session Information:


Rise Recovery will go into detail about the signs that appear in behavior regarding teens who are experiencing substance use. We will discuss what to look for and how to spot the signs among teens. We will also discuss what to do if someone starts to notice these signs in their teen.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

1. Define the stages of substance use.

2. Recognize the signs of substance use in teens.

3. Utilize tools to help teens who are experiencing substance use.
