A strong Individual Education Plan (IEP) begins with a strong statement of Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP). The information collected and reported in the PLAAFP is used to generate the goals based on the needs of the student. Participants will be able to discriminate between academic and functional goals, to navigate the TEKS Vertical Alignment Document, to identify the four critical components of a measurable annual goal, as well as to generate goals including the four critical components.
