Zoom Session - G/T 6 hour update - Incorporation of Universal Themes in G/T Lesson Design



The Gifted and Talented program at Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) promotes and supports the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students through professional development and technical assistance. This is accomplished by advocating, designing and providing an array of learning experiences for teachers and administrators of gifted and talented students in order to enable them to provide a nurturing environment in which these students with special abilities, unique needs, and diverse backgrounds are recognized.

Important Session Information:


In this session, participants will learn about Universal Themes and how to apply them to content. Participants will work on lesson ideas for their own classroom. The objectives will be met through Internet investigations, investigation of district information and practices, threaded collaborative discussions, and assignments.

NOTE: This session can count for a G/T Day 4, Day 5 or 6-Hour Update if not previously taken.

This session will be a Zoom session from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM. There will be a product component that will be submitted to complete your 6 hour credit.
