WEBINAR - Human Trafficking: What Our Community/Educators Need to Know

AIS Professional Development

Important Session Information:

In this training, participants will learn the process a trafficker uses to find, groom, and exploit victims. Red flags, vulnerabilities, and at-risk populations will be discussed to help you spot signs early on. You will learn who can be a trafficker and who can be a victim as well as the difficulties a victim faces in returning to life as a survivor. The training will include local statistics on trafficking as well as Texas based resources in order to empower you in the fight against human trafficking. Trafficking has become largely an online process; this training will take the recent global move to online platforms due to COVID-19 into consideration in order to address current concerns and tactics. The training will also include a short kid friendly video that will be emailed to participants explaining sexual exploitation in an easy to follow manner that may be used to educate children. The presentation will conclude with requirements for educators.
