CANCELED Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment Training



Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) provides assistance to districts in the successful development and implementation of a school readiness integration model of coordinated funding that brings school districts, Head Start programs and child care providers together in a mixed delivery model.  ESC-20 also provides leadership to ensure the effective regional implementation of appropriate instructional strategies in early childhood settings through technical assistance and professional development in the areas of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum and supports parents with Pre-Kindergarten information and eligibility criteria.

Important Session Information:


In this half-day face-to-face session, participants will learn how to administer the Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA) and will have the opportunities to explore other resources on CLI Engage. This hands-on training includes opportunities to practice administering the assessment and strategies for conducting the assessment efficiently and accurately.

TX-KEA serves as a progress monitoring tool for beginning-; middle-; and end-of-year. Developed in English and Spanish, this time-efficient tool will allow assessment of all areas within 45 minutes.

 

*Participants will need to bring their laptop computer and have already established an account with CLI.
