(Zoom) Behavior Change is Hard! Protocols to Address Challenging Behavior for Students with ASD



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for families and professionals working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a variety of school settings.
 


Important Session Information:


This workshop will provide information related to addressing, preventing, and managing challenging behavior for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Participants will discuss the prevention of challenging behavior by teaching alternative behaviors, as well as how to systematically respond to challenging behavior when it occurs. Participants will identify procedures to teach appropriate transitioning from preferred activities to non-preferred activities, letting go of preferred items, waiting, and accepting being told, “No” as a response.

This session will take place in the form of a Zoom session. Participants must have a desktop, laptop or Chromebook in order to participate, along with an adequate internet connection. Active participation of various forms will be required during the session in order to obtain course credit. You will receive a confirmation email from Connect20.
