All K-12 schools receiving Federal preparedness monies through the USDOE, DHS, or HHS are required to support the implementation of NIMS (National Incident Management System) by completing Incident Command (IC) courses. The TxSSC is also encouraging districts and charters to complete these courses to ensure greater communication between community partners and our schools during school based incidents. Although these courses are available online, and self-paced; these courses are being made avaialble in-person at ESC 20.
