New Counselor Series



Professional development for school counselors is aligned with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and supports work in the four service delivery components: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support.


 


Important Session Information:


You made it through your first semester as a school counselor.  Let's meet to talk about your role and how your work fits into a Comprehensive School Counseling Program (CSCP).  Topics will include the four components of a CSCP, the four student competencies, 80% or your time, small groups, classroom guidance, strategies for effective planning, and crisis response.  Participants will network and collaborate with other new counselors.
