ESC-20 provides professional development and technical assistance to support educators with implementation of the Social Studies TEKS, analyze data to enhance instructional practices to meet the needs of students, and provides targeted support to reach campus and district goals.

Important Session Information:


Education Service Center Region 20 is pleased to extend an invitation to you to participate in a meeting to discuss feedback on the upcoming review and revision process for the current K-12 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for social studies.
 
The State Board of Education (SBOE) TEKS review process calls for ESCs to solicit feedback from educators in their regions on the current TEKS and their recommendations for the review, as one of the initial steps in the review. Feedback from the ESC focus groups will be submitted to TEA and provided to the SBOE and future work groups.
 
ESC 20 is convening a group of educators to collect feedback on the social studies TEKS. These meetings will be conducted virtually.
