At the Heart of Teaching: Establishing Instructional Engagement and Cooperation for Students with ASD



ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance for families and professionals working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a variety of school settings.

NOTE: This session has been rescheduled to April 12, 2022.

This offering is designed to assist and prepare participants to establish instructional engagement and cooperation during teaching opportunities. Participants will learn methods to promote functional communication for learners with autism or developmental disabilities using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis on learners’ interests. Participants will learn to deliver reinforcer surveys, design effective and engaging teaching opportunities, and consider the thoughtful arrangements of the classroom environment to increase student cooperation and instruction. 

This session will take place in the form of a Zoom webinar.


Participants must have a desktop, laptop or Chromebook in order to participate, along with an adequate internet connection.
