Join us for a ToT (Training of Trainers) where you will learn the strategies, lesson design, and the formula it takes to handle any problem of practice. As part of this training, you will have the opportunity to work alongside certified TXLS facilitators in the upcoming school year to train and coach your campus/district utilizing the Texas Lesson Study framework.
Texas Lesson Study is a research-based approach, advocated by Commissioner Mike Morath, that takes participants through a 5-phase cycle to address specific educational problems of practice. This framework can be used in any content area and supports all campus initiatives. This training will demonstrate the TXLS process through the lens of the TEA Texas Reading Academies and the Science of Teaching Reading. Participants will graduate as certified TEA Texas Lesson Study Facilitators. Monthly support/coaching will be provided as a follow-up to this course to ensure sustainability throughout the year.
