ESC-20 provides training and technical assistance to district transition contacts and vocational adjustment coordinators in the development and implementation of effective transition services and inter-agency collaboration.

Important Session Information:


What does a successful 18 plus program look like? This session will include information on the transition program for students who continue into a fifth or sixth year beyond as a graduate or continuer. The 18 plus programs has three tiers, campus based, district based, or community based. This session will discuss the different programs and assist in deciding if the program meets the needs of the students served. Most importantly, it will ask the question, "Does the program assist the students in being successful when they enter the real word?"

We will address the following questions: 

  • What is the difference between a continuer and a graduate?
  • What does a student's education program look like when they return for educational services beyond their four years of high school?
  • What is needed to support students' post secondary goals?
  • Is there funding for the 18 plus students?
